Local Ingredients, World-Class Spirits

We pride ourselves on using pure, natural Queensland ingredients, ensuring that every bottle reflects the rich biodiversity and unique flavours of our region. Our botanicals are sourced from some of the most renowned areas in Queensland:

• Coffee and Vanilla from the Atherton Tablelands and the Daintree Rainforest

• Lemon Scented Ironback from Far North Queensland

• Larruk (Melaleuca quinquenervia) from the K’gari Coast

These locally sourced botanicals are integral to creating the distinctive flavours that define Queensland Distillery’s spirits.

A Nod to History: The Captain Moreton Rum

One of our standout products is Captain Moreton Rum, inspired by the adventurous tale of Thomas Pamphlett and his fellow castaways, who were among the first foreign visitors to Moreton Bay. This rum encapsulates the spirit of exploration and resilience that characterises Queensland’s history.

Queensland Distillery now proudly owns the Brisbane Distillery brand, a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation. While we embrace new and exciting ventures, we remain true to our roots, drawing inspiration from the rich history and heritage of Queensland.

At the heart of our logo is The Old Windmill in Brisbane, one of the oldest landmarks in Queensland. Built by convicts to grind grain, this iconic structure also served as a communications tower, housing Brisbane’s first telegraph machine and later becoming a radio and television broadcast tower. Much like the Old Windmill, Brisbane Distillery Company is deeply rooted in Queensland’s heritage while being connected to the rest of the world.
